Job Duties:
Works with clients on Health Care Consulting projects with focus on current Health Care issues such as process, finance, technology and clinical issues. Core competencies include knowledge of the health care industry, project management, analytical skills, client relationships, oral and written communications, commitment to client success and basic knowledge of current technologies. Day to day tasks include interviewing clients, documenting interview results, data analysis, preparation and presentation of client deliverables and associated financial analysis. Communication and team work are key for consultants, both with the consulting team project members and with client representatives. This position is in our NYC office.
Job Requirements:
The position requires a Master’s degree in Public Administration, plus 1 year of experience in the position offered or a related position.
Must have proficiency with other software i.e. ERP products - PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, HBOC, Trendstar, SMS. Must have experience directly interfacing with large profile clients. Must have experience with health care industry, particularly project management and data analysis. Proficiency in the English Language and presentation skills are required.

FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT:Technology Solutions Consulting
PURPOSE
The Senior Consultant will operate under the guidance of the Technology Strategy and Solutions Director and will provide architecture expertise and application development leadership for the successful delivery of Microsoft platform solutions. They will work directly with clients and project teams to lead the overall application design and development of the solution. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
q Utilize expertise with Visual Studio 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0 to deliver solutions built on Microsoft platform technologies (SharePoint, SQL Server, Project Server, BizTalk, etc.).
q Work with partners and clients to develop an overall solution vision and effectively communicate initiatives with the entire project team.
q Communicate and present ideas and solutions to project sponsors, client team members, and stakeholders.
q Provide solution design and implementation best practices leadership throughout the full life cycle of one or more solution implementations.
q Apply solution design Preferred Practices to mentor other project team members and provide knowledge transfer to clients and partners.
q Work with diverse and distributed teams in a collaborative manner regardless of assigned role or reporting lines.
q Capture, integrate, communicate, educate, and apply the knowledge, experiences, and lessons-learned that are acquired from each engagement.
q Significant NE regional travel required
Qualifications
q 3+ years of implementing custom applications on the Microsoft platform in a hands-on consulting role for medium to large sized corporations across a broad range of industries.
q Specific experience with Visual Studio 2005, .NET Framework 2.0 and ASP.NET 2.0 is a must.
q 2+ years experience with one or more of the following products (SQL Server 2000/2005, SharePoint 2003/2007, BizTalk 2004/2006, Project Server 2003/2007) is a plus.
q Familiarity with Windows 2003 operating system, its security model, and IIS.
q Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
q Superiorinterpersonal, team building, and leadership skills required.
q Bachelor's degree in related discipline required. Master's degree desirable.
q Microsoft MCSD, MCAD or MCP certification is a plus.
