Blum Shapiro's Southport office was recognized by the United Way of Eastern Fairfield County at their annual meeting on May 3, 2007. Representing the firm that evening were Managing Partner, Carl R. Johnson, Southport Office Principal, Mary E. Hoyt and Anne L. Elvgren, the firm's Chief Marketing Officer. The Impact Circle Award recognized the firm's significant increase in fundraising.

The Bridge Family Center in West Hartford honored Blum Shapiro on May 22, 2007 for its longstanding commitment to the organization. The Bridge is a non-profit agency providing shelter and counseling services to at-risk youth, especially those involved in substance abuse and trouble with the law. Last year, The Bridge Family Center served nearly 8,000 young people and families through a variety of programs.
