BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign
The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action (CCA) is a community wide, hands-on effort to bring a full traditional dinner to the Thanksgiving Day tables of thousands of families and seniors in New Haven, CT.
Chrisitian Community Action is a 47 year-old New Haven-based, ecumenical social services agency which provides emergency and transitional housing, food and other services to families that are homeless or in crisis. CCA is accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations until November 19.

Items needed most:
October 1–November 19: Collection of non-perishable food items and financial contributions
- Canned Carrots, Corn, Green Beans, Peas and Yams
- Canned Soups (low-sodium preferred)
- Stuffing Mix
- Instant Potatoes
- Canned Fruit (low sugar preferred)
- Rice/Red and Black Beans
- Cranberry Sauce
- Gravy Mix
- Canned Gravy
- Monetary Donations (online or by check, made out to “Christian Community Action” and sent to CCA Development, 168 Davenport Avenue, New Haven 06519)
**Items in boxes, plastic or metal containers preferred over glass.
