As a tax partner, Corey has a wide range of experience in tax compliance, consulting and planning for privately held businesses and their owners. He has provided tax services to clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution and retail (MDR) and professional services.
Corey is extensively involved with blum’s Dare to Lead Sophomore Leadership Program, working with students from various area colleges and universities on networking, teambuilding and leadership skills, as well as our firm’s Passport Program, designed to give young professionals the opportunity to meet with and discuss career development with high level employees. He is also strongly involved in the Partner Personnel Committee, which ensures equity across the firm regarding ratings, promotions and departures for employees.
Throughout his career, Corey has worked with closely held, family owned businesses and their owners. He treats every client with the same high priority, fielding questions and finding ways to provide value—such as introducing previously unconsidered tax incentives, or recognizing opportunities to minimize taxes through strategies and alternatives at both the federal and state level. In his efforts to meet and exceed expectations, Corey adapts himself to client styles in order to minimize distractions and allow owners to concentrate on their own responsibilities.
Prior to joining blum in 2013, Corey worked as a tax manager at CohnReznick, LLP.
