As a partner in blum’s software and business process outsourcing (BPO) consulting group, Jim specializes in middle-market/large client offerings, including outsourced accounting and finance, CFO advisory, and business process review and reengineering for the firm’s consulting practice. He has diverse experience in finance, finance transformation, accounting, reporting, business process and financial controls and operational management.
Jim previously worked as the North American Controller with Stanley Black and Decker. He was responsible for the financial close for corporate and the company’s centralized North American businesses. While in this role, he transformed the accounting close, led BPO efforts and acquisition integration of accounting processes, including Stanley’s integration with Black & Decker.
Prior to that, he worked at URS/Washington Group International as Assistant Controller where he oversaw SEC reporting. In addition, Jim was a Senior Manager at KPMG in its Audit and Advisory Services Practice and a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP before joining blum in 2012.
