As a principal in blum’s Accounting and Auditing Group, Virendra is responsible for audit planning, fieldwork and supervision of staff. During the engagement, he consults with the financial management staff on ways to structure their financial statements and disclosures and has regular interaction with audit and finance committees.
Virendra leads our effort to prepare meaningful management comments that come to our attention during the review or audit. These comments may include items such as internal controls, accounting policies and cash and inventory management.
Virendra also has expertise in the construction industry that involves working with contractors on their annual financial statements, working with owners in the defense of construction claims and working with municipalities and higher educational institutions on their school construction programs.
He is a member of the committee for Diversity and Inclusion at blumshapiro (DIBS), which is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating differences among our employees—as well as recruiting a talented and varied cross-cultural workforce that adds to our dynamic understanding of collaboration and unification. The committee also sponsors a program, Women Who Lead, that strives to achieve equal leadership presence at blum by mentoring and empowering female professionals at every stage of their career. Through DIBS, blum employees are actively encouraged to contribute their unique ideas and perspectives to better serve our clients, our firm and our communities.
