WEST HARTFORD – September 29, 2016 – BlumShapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England, today announced it is has appointed Brian A. Renstrom as the Managing Partner of its three Massachusetts offices.
In his new role, Renstrom will oversee BlumShapiro operations in Boston, Newton and Quincy, Massachusetts. In addition, Renstrom will continue his responsibilities as Managing Partner of BlumShapiro Consulting.
“Brian has been instrumental to the growth and success of our firm since he joined us as Partner in charge of Consulting in 2004,” said Joseph A. Kask, chief executive officer of BlumShapiro. “During his tenure he has built our consulting practice to represent a significant strategic and economic asset to our overall business while also providing his guidance and thought leadership through his service on our Executive Committee for three terms. Brian will work closely with leadership in all our Massachusetts offices to build and execute a strategic plan that will focus on the needs of middle market business in Massachusetts and further develop our consulting presence and capabilities there.”
Renstrom began his career in Connecticut with Andersen Consulting in 1982 and had a long tenure there as a partner, leading Andersen’s highly successful middle-market consulting practice in the Northeast. Subsequently, he led PricewaterhouseCooper’s Northeast Region Middle-Market Business Advisory Services practice before he joined BlumShapiro in 2004.
Renstrom has served as a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Finance Committee, and Vice-Chairman of the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network.
Renstrom received a Bachelor of Science in Management/Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
