blumshapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Association, Inc. (MSADA), recently held the MSADA Dealership CEO & CFO Forum. The event took place at the Verve-Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick on December 13, 2018.

Topics covered during the daylong forum included “An Overview of Vehicle Subscription Services,” by Taylor Sandusky of Clutch Technologies; “Implementation of the New Lease Accounting Standard,” by Christopher S. Ernest, CPA, MSM of blumshapiro; a “Tax Reform Update,” by Richard C. Parmelee, CPA of blumshapiro; “Performing Human Resources ‘Health’ Assessments,” by Amy E. Allen, SPHR of blumshapiro; and a “Wage and Hour Litigation Update,” by Brendan J. Lowd and Katharine O. Beattie, both of Mintz Levin. John D. Spatcher, CPA, a partner at blumshapiro, welcomed the group.

Dealership Services is one of blum’s areas of industry expertise. “We know the challenges dealerships face, and understand how these challenges can be turned into growth opportunities,” said Christopher Ernest, CPA of blumshapiro. “Events like this MSADA CEO & CFO Forum provide dealers with timely and relevant content they can use to improve the operations of their business and navigate the complex legal and regulatory environments they face. We are happy to partner with the MSADA to share this information and serve as a resource to dealership executives.”

Additional forums are planned throughout 2019.
