CRANSTON, R.I. – June 28, 2019 – David Fontes, CPA, CFE, MBA, a partner at blumshapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, was honored on this year’s Providence Business News “40 Under 40” list.
PBN’s annual 40 Under 40 list celebrates “40 achievers, innovators and leaders whose mix of passion and brains have made a difference” in Rhode Island’s business community.

David began his career with Sullivan and Company in 2004, which then merged with blumshapiro in 2013. He was elected partner in 2018.
In his current role, David provides assurance, tax and advisory services to clients across a variety of industries and sectors, including manufacturing, distribution, gaming, financial & other services, real estate, jewelry and precious metals industries, many with international operations.
David serves as the Treasurer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. David earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Plymouth State University and his MBA from Bryant University. He lives in Cumberland with his wife and daughter.
