It’s not an overstatement to call the first release of 2019 one of the most significant upgrades in the history of Sage Intacct. Here are some of the highlights in this upgrade.

Sage Intacct distinguishes itself from other financial management solutions through an unparalleled commitment to consistent upgrades. New features are released each quarter that significantly enhance the intelligence, functionality and accessibility of the platform for all users.

Thanks to the cloud-orientation of Sage Intacct, upgrades are automatically installed without needing input from IT. That means four times a year, accountants enter the office to find a stronger solution than they had yesterday.

It’s not an overstatement to call the first release of 2019 one of the most significant upgrades in the history of Sage Intacct. Here are some of the highlights:

Estimate Landed Costs in Advance

Accountants can now record an estimated landed cost in advance of a purchase, then reconcile it with the actual costs upon arrival. That gives companies more insight into their ongoing inventory costs and the ability to plan for those costs in advance. Other inventory enhancements include easier data importation, automated COGS adjustments for prior periods, and fewer manual inputs when making purchase orders.

Conduct High-Volume Bank Reconciliations

After the 2019 R1 update it takes just one click to import multiple files. Reconciling statements is easier as well thanks to simplified rules for automatic matches. The addition of new filter and sort features also makes it quick for users to find the exact transaction(s) they’re looking for. In practice, these upgrades make bank reconciliations simple and seamless even when there is a high volume.

Optimize the Allocation Process

Splitting entries and shifting information are no longer necessary thanks to dynamic allocation processes. Users can now build group allocations that run on the same interval – e.g. month-end. The addition of book stacking gives users additional flexibility. Overall, the new allocation process saves time and human capital while reducing the risk of errors.

Engage with Enhanced UI

The most significant upgrade is a complete overhaul of the user interface called Action UI. Users can now personalize the layout, data and features used in some of the primary interfaces to better reflect individual preferences and changing priorities. Action UI makes Sage Intacct more accessible to everyone, including non-financial professionals, through tools like a Custom Report Writer. Other solutions offer a one-size-fits-all approach, where as Sage Intacct can be customized for each individual.

Other Highlights

Almost every aspect of accounting is addressed in the latest release:

  • Contracts – Bill fixed-free projects tied to contracts based on the percentage of the project completed.
  • Global Consolidations – Consolidation books include one journal for all entries, making for easier management.
  • Reporting – Two new dashboards can be used to quickly capture cash analysis and key financial ratios.
  • CRM Integration – Users have more options for syncing contracts with Salesforce.
